Word gets around

2240 Speed Shop reviews

2240 Speed Shop reviews come from a small, real customer list. Three Google reviewers wrote about the work: they call Terry's cars beautiful, the service outstanding, and the quality terrific. The shop is owner-operated in east Edmonton, so every review is about one man's workmanship. Read them, then come look.

What do customers actually say?

Three reviews, verbatim, from Google. Short ones — car people are not essayists.

What about the star average?

Here is the honest version, because pretending otherwise would be insulting. This is a small shop with a short review history. Alongside the reviews above sit a few ratings that arrived with no comment, no vehicle and no invoice attached to them — stars and nothing else.

We are not going to argue with anonymous numbers on the internet, and we are not going to buy reviews to bury them. The reviews with words in them are on this page. The work they describe is in the shop right now, on a hoist, with the panels off.

Better yet — come by. Look at what is on the hoist. The work does the talking.

If we built something for you

Leave a review with words in it.

A rating is a number. A sentence about what car it was and what got done is worth ten of them — to the next person deciding whether to trust a small shop with a car they have owned for thirty years. Open the Google listing, tap Reviews, then Write a review.

Review us on GoogleOr tell us privately

Something went sideways on your job? Say it to the shop first. It gets fixed faster that way than it does in public.

How should you judge a restoration shop?

Use this on us and on everybody else you call. A shop that flinches at any of it is telling you something.

Ask to see a car mid-teardown

Finished cars are easy. Ask to look at something with the panels off. Weld quality, panel gaps and the state of the floors tell you everything a photo gallery will not.

Look underneath, not at the paint

Paint hides a decade of shortcuts for about two winters. Rockers, floor pans and frame rails are where an Alberta restoration is actually judged.

Ask for the customer who came back

Anybody can produce one happy customer. A shop worth using has people on their second and third car, which is a harder thing to fake.

Read the quote, not the number

A real estimate is a scope with a sequence. If a shop hands you one figure and no list of what it covers, the argument is already scheduled.
